This matte blue jar with its molded decoration of stylized leaves has the Handicraft Guild's symbol incised on the bottom. Florence Willets, the artist, gave it to The Minneapolis Institute of Arts in 1916. An accomplished ceramist, Willets served as the secretary-treasurer of the Handicraft Guild of Minneapolis for most of its existence. Her work was featured in the 1906 issue of The Bellman, a weekly literary magazine published in Minneapolis.
